To assist you in your preparation for your upcoming visit to the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, we've included ideas for pre-visit and post-visit activities which will enhance your visit. When you arrive at the Museum you can expect to see historic buildings, artifacts that belonged to Sam Houston as well as other time period appropriate pieces, and life as it would have been in the 19th century.
The museum lends itself to correlate with TEKS (Grade 2, Grade 4, and Grade 7) and many other units of study--in a hands-on, interactive, and fun approach to history.
