To ensure everyone's safety, please do not come to the SHMM if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.
As a department of Sam Houston State University, we follow their COVID-19 guidelines and guidance on face coverings. All students, faculty, staff, and visitors must wear face coverings in the Memorial Museum, Museum Store, and Katy & E. Don Walker, Sr. Education Center. No mask? No problem! Just ask one of our staff members at a front desk for a complimentary mask.
Our modified hours for the Memorial Museum, Museum Store, and Walker Education Center remain Tuesday - Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
During the week (Tuesday - Friday) between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., a staff member will be on the grounds to answer any visitor questions.
