The Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library complex is situated on 15 acres of the original property owned by General Sam Houston and his family from 1847 - 1858. We are located on the corner of Sam Houston Avenue and 19th Street, directly across from Sam Houston State University.
The Steamboat House is periodically opened to the public to access the inside. Please check under Events to find out when this opportunity arises.
